Millennial and GenZ voters are Canada’s largest voting bloc, comprising more than 40% of eligible voters. Young Canadians overwhelmingly support greater action on the climate crisis and policies like affordable housing, but they vote at nearly half the rate of other generations.
Since its founding in 2019, Future Majority has mobilized tens of thousands of young voters in competitive ridings – in some cases, thousands more than the riding was decided by. Through a media training strategy, Future Majority has generated hundreds of national news stories reaching millions of Canadians, including the front page of the Sunday Toronto Star, Globe and Mail, CBC, CTV and Global news. In the 2021 federal election, Future Majority educated hundreds of thousands of unlikely youth voters through exclusive video content from the party leaders, helping them navigate the parties’ positions on youth priorities and understand which were competitive in their riding.
